FAQ & Other Information
How long is a typical session?
A typical session is 50 minutes.
What happens during the first session?
Our first step is to have a conversation about what brought you to the place where you decided you could benefit from counseling. We will review parts of the forms that you filled out and begin to discuss a course of action.
How do I get to your office?
Address: 3959 South Nova Rd. Suite 25 and Suite 14 Port Orange, Fl 32127
From I-95 exit at Port Orange
Go east on Dunlawton for 3-4 miles.
Take a right onto Nova.
Go about 2 miles on Nova and the building will be on your left. (You will have to make a U-turn.)
The office is in the second building in the parking lot.
What happens when I arrive?
When you get to the office, go through the two doors. There will be some chairs straight in front of you or you can hang a right and sit in a little waiting room. The door will be labeled and will be on the left. We will come out and get you.
How many weeks will it take?
Every client and his or her situation is different. Our goal is for our clients to be emotionally and relationally healthy. We are available for as long as needed. Typically, as you progress in your treatment plan and goals are met, time between sessions will decrease until you feel ready to end regular sessions. You are always welcome back for sessions as needed.
Will I have homework between sessions?
Yes. Some of these assignments may include journaling, reading or answering questions.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Please reach out via phone or email 24 hours before the scheduled time. Appointments missed without notification or clients who cancel on the same day will be charged the full fee for that session. Special consideration will be given in the event of an emergency.
Are sessions confidential?
One10 Men’s Counseling upholds the highest ethical standards of client confidentiality so as to ensure emotional safety and security. Only in situations of abuse to children, the elderly, or in cases where there is suicidal or homicidal intent or when legally required by the court to do so will confidentiality be broken.
