One10 Men’s Counseling
Relationship counseling for men and couples in Port Orange
If you keep having the same argument, we’ll work on getting to the root of it and finding better ways to talk and listen to each other. You can come as a couple, or you can start on your own.
Sessions are $125 for 50 minutes, by appointment. I’m a male counselor who works with men and couples.
The Argument Map
It’s a worksheet for the argument you and your wife keep having. You fill it out on your own in about 15 minutes.
I’ll email you the PDF, plus a few short notes over the next three weeks. You can unsubscribe at any time, and I’ll never share your email.
What’s in the guide
You write down what the argument is about, what each of you does once it starts, and the whole pattern in one sentence that doesn’t blame either of you. Then you pick one thing you’ll do differently this week, and there’s room to write down how it went.
Your wife doesn’t need to see it, and you don’t need to book a session to use it.
Why men wait to get help
“It costs money”
Sessions are $125 for 50 minutes, and I don’t bill insurance.
“It’s just talking”
Counseling with me is practical. Between sessions, you’ll have something to work on, like journaling, reading, or a question to think about.
“It’ll be two against one”
You might worry that I’ll take your wife’s side, or that what you say will be used against you at home. I won’t take sides, and if you ever feel that I have, I want you to tell me.
“I should be able to figure this out myself”
It’s hard to see a pattern when you’re part of it. Someone outside the relationship can help you see it more clearly.
How I work
What’s underneath the argument
We’ll look at what each of you needs from the other and what tends to set the argument off.
Talking and listening
We’ll practice ways to slow down, listen, and say what you mean when things get tense.
The pattern between you
If the same pattern keeps coming up, I’ll point it out, and we’ll work on changing it.
We can talk about anything
Money, sex, in-laws, and the things that are hardest to say out loud can all be part of our sessions.
What happens in your first session
When you get to 3959 South Nova Road, come in through the two doors in the center of the second building. You’ll see chairs straight ahead. You don’t need to check in with anyone. Have a seat, and I’ll come out to get you.
I’ll ask why you’re coming in now, what the argument is usually about, and what each of you thinks is underneath it.
If you’ve been to counseling before, I’ll ask what helped and what didn’t.
Near the end, I’ll tell you what I noticed, and we’ll talk about where you’d like to go from here.

When you’re ready
Start with a 15-minute phone call
We’ll talk on the phone before anything is booked. You can tell me what’s going on and ask any questions you have about counseling. Then we can decide together on a next step.
If you’re reading this for your husband, you’re both welcome on the call. That way, he can hear from me directly and decide for himself.
Common questions
Does my wife have to come?
No. If you come on your own, we’ll work on what you bring to the relationship. Counseling as a couple is different because the two of you work on it together.
What does it cost?
A 50-minute session is $125. I don’t bill insurance, so you pay me directly at each session by card, cash, or check.
What if I have to cancel?
Please give me at least 24 hours’ notice. If you cancel with less notice than that, you’ll be charged the full session fee.
How long does this take?
It depends on what you’re working on. We’ll meet regularly and work toward the goals we set together, and when you’re ready, we can meet less often.
Is this Christian counseling?
Following Jesus shapes how I see people and how I counsel. Every man is welcome here, whatever he believes.
