One10 Men’s Counseling
A two-minute check-in
You’ll answer eight questions about anger, worry, arguments at home, work stress, and screen habits. When you finish, you’ll see a short summary of your answers and the one guide that fits them best. Each guide is a PDF you can print, and if you’d like yours, I’ll email it to you.
Nothing you answer is saved or sent anywhere.
A guide for this week
Because of your answers about your relationship, I’d suggest this guide.
The Argument Map
It’s a worksheet for the argument you and your wife keep having. You fill it out on your own in about 15 minutes, and it helps you see the pattern and pick one thing you’ll do differently.
I’ll email you the guide, and over the next three weeks, I’ll send a few short emails about what counseling with me is like. Your check-in answers aren’t sent with this form, and you don’t need to book a session. See what’s in it first.
You answered Sometimes or Often to the question about anger, so I’d suggest this guide.
The Gap
It’s a pocket card for the few seconds between when anger starts and when you react, plus a seven-day log you fill out each morning.
I’ll email you the guide, and over the next three weeks, I’ll send a few short emails about what counseling with me is like. Your check-in answers aren’t sent with this form, and you don’t need to book a session. See what’s in it first.
You answered Sometimes or Often to the question about worry, so I’d suggest this guide.
The 3 a.m. Sheet
It’s a sheet you keep by your bed for the worries that wake you up at night. You write them down, then read the sheet again in the daylight.
I’ll email you the guide, and over the next three weeks, I’ll send a few short emails about what counseling with me is like. Your check-in answers aren’t sent with this form, and you don’t need to book a session. See what’s in it first.
None of my other guides fits your answers closely, so I’d suggest this one. It’s for any man who is thinking about seeing a counselor.
What to Look for When You’re Choosing a Counselor
It covers 10 things to know before you choose a counselor.

Here’s how getting started works.
01
A phone call
Call me, and we’ll talk for about 15 minutes. You can tell me what’s going on and ask any questions you have about counseling.
02
Your first session
Sessions are 50 minutes. In the first one, I’ll get to know you, hear what brought you in, and talk with you about where you’d like to go from here.
03
Ongoing sessions
We’ll meet regularly and work toward the goals we set together. When you’re ready, we can meet less often.

Common questions
Will you tell me I’m the problem?
No. We’ll look at what’s going on without blaming anyone, and we’ll work on the part you can change.
What does it cost?
Sessions are $125 for 50 minutes. I don’t bill insurance, so you pay me directly at each session by card, cash, or check.
Do you work with teenagers?
Yes. For anyone under 18, a parent or legal guardian signs a consent form and fills out the child intake form first.
What if I have to cancel?
Please give me at least 24 hours’ notice. If you cancel with less notice, you’ll be charged the full session fee.
If you’re in crisis, don’t wait for an appointment. Call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time. If you’re in immediate danger, call 911.
This check-in is for your own reflection. It isn’t a clinical screening or a diagnosis.
